I feel really lucky to be able to volunteer for a whole lot of organizations and meet so many wonderful people and dogs. Right now, I’m the public image coordinator for Rotary International for part of the U.S. and Canada, the vice president of the historic 1932 Criterion Theatre that just reopened as a community gathering place, the president and founder of the Bar Harbor Kids Book Festival. I work on fundraising, fitting and donating wheelchairs for people. I also fight against human trafficking. With my local Rotary club, we fight polio, malaria, just built a playground for local kids, and participate in a backpack feeding program. I also do home visitations for the National Great Pyr Rescue League. Sometimes, I dress up as a lobster or a firefighter or a good fairy or a 1980s wrestler.
